Charlotte's story

With a Bachelor of Laws from the Open University, Charlotte Morton came to LJMU to study for a Masters in Maritime Operations Management.

I originally wanted to go into shipping law and having decided that a life as a solicitor was not for me, I found the Maritime Operations Management course, which seemed like the ideal next step.

I chose LJMU because it had a great reputation and was close to home. Although, postgraduate study was harder than I imagined, the tutors were always happy to meet or answer my emails, and have been generally very supportive.

Liverpool is lovely – such a sociable place. Everyone is friendly here, the nightlife is great and there are lots of handy coffee shops where you can study or meet up with the new friends you make on your course!”
